Will our task content types migrate when I copy a Nintex workflow?
Yes. ShareGate Migrate migrates site reusable content types and list workflows.
Will ShareGate Migrate copy our unpublished workflows?
No. ShareGate Migrate assumes drafts or unpublished workflows are unused and will not migrate them.
Will we need to republish our workflows when changing to claims authentication at the destination?
ShareGate Migrate publishes your workflows under your connected user account.
Will ShareGate Migrate migrate our Nintex Workflow history?
ShareGate Migrate can migrate your Nintex Workflow history from on-premises to on-premises versions of SharePoint. You need to install our Server Extension to do this. This feature is not supported in Microsoft 365.
Note: Every time a Nintex workflow is modified, a new workflow history is created for the new version. ShareGate Migrate copies the history of the last version of that Nintex workflow.
Will ShareGate Migrate migrate our Nintex history lists?
ShareGate Migrate will migrate your Nintex history lists from on-premises to on-premises. You need to install the Server Extension to do this. This feature is not supported in Microsoft 365 at the moment.
Will my migrated Nintex workflows include task forms customized with InfoPath or Nintex Forms?
ShareGate Migrate will include them when migrating to on-premises. However, this feature is not supported in Microsoft 365.
Is it possible to migrate User Defined Actions?
Yes. All levels will be migrated. You will need the correct permission level to perform the migration.
Note: You cannot migrate User Defined Actions to a Microsoft 365 destination since they do not exist in that environment.
Will ShareGate Migrate copy the task list associated with my Nintex workflow?
Yes. The Task list associated with the workflow will be migrated automatically.
Will ShareGate Migrate reconfigure our Nintex workflow actions at the destination?
Yes. ShareGate Migrate doesn't simply migrate the workflow. It also migrates all the workflow dependencies and corrects any values to point to the new locations.
Will ShareGate Migrate migrate Nintex databases?
ShareGate Migrate is a client-side application that only uses SharePoint and Nintex public APIs to perform migrations. At no time will ShareGate Migrate interact directly with the database.
Will ShareGate Migrate handle Nintex workflow migrations from SharePoint on-premises to Microsoft 365?
ShareGate Migrate will migrate your workflows from SharePoint on-premises to Microsoft 365 and convert most workflow actions to work at the destination. For a list of supported actions, see Nintex migration support.
Will ShareGate Migrate migrate running workflows?
No. The migration of running Nintex workflows is not supported.
Why do users lose access to Nintex Live Forms at the destination?
If you have users in the form's Live Settings to give them access to the form, they must have an email address set in their profile at the destination for Nintex to allow them access to the form. To verify this, click the address book button and search for your user to see if he appears in the email column.
