Details
In order for ShareGate Migrate to be able to migrate sites and lists/libraries, the site templates and list/library templates must be available at the destination.
The Fab 40 templates were only available in SharePoint 2007 and are no longer available in SharePoint 2010 or later. This means that ShareGate Migrate cannot create the sites, lists, and libraries based on those templates at the destination. However, the content of the lists and libraries can still be migrated.
Note: As of November 2021, ShareGate is no longer able to provide full support for SharePoint Server 2003 and 2007, which are past the end of their Microsoft support lifetime. For more information, see Contact our technical support team.
You can manually recreate all the lists and libraries based on the Fab 40 templates:
- Create the sites manually at the destination.
- For each site, copy all the lists/libraries inside the site. ShareGate Migrate will give errors if there are list templates that come from the Fab 40 templates and that prevent lists from being migrated.
- For the lists that cause errors, create the lists manually at the destination.
- Use Copy content only to copy the content of the manually created lists.
