You can expect to receive a verification email as part of your ShareGate Home account creation.
If your organization uses a greylisting service such as Mimecast to defend its users against spam, you may receive our email after the verification code has expired or not receive the email at all.
Details
Greylisting is a form of email defense to protect users against spam. Greylisting services work by temporarily rejecting any emails coming from an unknown sender. After a delay, the email will appear in your inbox.
The ShareGate Home account creation email contains a verification code for you to use. This code expires after 10 minutes---we like to keep the time short to prevent security risks and make sure your information stays safe.
Solution
Contact your organization's IT team so they can add the domain sharegate.com
to their Safe Senders list.
Note: It's best practice to request your organization's greylisting service or anti-spam provider add the domain to their Safe Senders list, too.
When you can successfully receive emails from sharegate.com
, you can retry the ShareGate Home account verification process.
