A sensitivity mismatch can happen when the security settings of a team or group don't align with its sensitivity tag. Sensitivity mismatches can pose a security risk to your organization if they are not resolved.
A sensitivity mismatch might happen if:
- An owner changes the privacy setting of their team or group.
- An admin updates the security settings of a team or group.
- An admin sets the organization-level external sharing setting to something more restrictive.

How-to resolve mismatches
You can resolve sensitivity mismatches at the individual team or group level or as a bulk action on multiple teams and groups.
Individual team or group
Open the team and group details by selecting the row of that team or group.
In the header, review and modify the security settings of the team or group by using the drop-down options.
Tip: Hover your mouse over the gold mismatch to display ShareGate's analysis for the right sensitivity setting.
Multiple teams or groups
To resolve the sensitivity mismatches of multiple teams and groups at the same time, check the box beside the team or group names. Click Resolve mismatches in the bulk action menu.
In the pop-up, you'll be provided details on how the security settings will change (these changes are based on ShareGate's analysis for sensitivity alignment). Click Resolve mismatches to accept these changes.
