ShareGate Provisioning templates are a great way to make sure your colleagues have the optimal settings when creating teams. Requiring approval adds an additional safety net to ensure the template approver has the final word on team creation when using a specific template.

How-to
Approve a request
From the Approval requests tab:
- Open Management, and select Provisioning from the sidebar.
- Select the Approval requests tab.
- For each pending entry:
- Select Approve to approve the request.
OR - Select Deny to deny the request.
- Select Approve to approve the request.
- Repeat step (3) for any remaining pending approval requests.
From request details:
- Follow steps (1) and (2) of the previous section.
- Select the desired pending approval request to open the request details.
- Select:

Considerations
- When a team creation request is approved, the approver is indicated as the team creator in Microsoft 365 and the Microsoft Graph API. Essentially, the approver creates the team on behalf of the requestor.
- Requestors can see the status of their request in the end-user app.
- Approval actions appear in your activity log.
