Symptoms
When attempting to promote a site, the ShareGate migration tool displays the following error message:
A site collection with this URL already exists.
Error code
- ST-400-150
Details
When you promote a site, the app has to create a new site collection to merge that site into. The ShareGate migration tool is unable to use an existing URL for that new site collection.
Solution
Change the URL in the promote options and retry.
