Microsoft 365 US Government Community Cloud (GCC) services have several security elements that limit their support in ShareGate.
GCC High and GCC DoD
Because GCC High and GCC DoD tenants do not permit regular access to the Graph API, you cannot:
- Use our features in ShareGate on the web, like ShareGate Protect and Provisioning.
- Grant consent to the Azure ShareGate Migrate app and ShareGate Protect.
- Migrate mailboxes with ShareGate Migrate.
- Migrate and report on Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365 groups with ShareGate Migrate.
GCC
You can use more ShareGate features on regular GCC tenants, like Protect and Provisioning. However, because GCC tenants still have a few restrictions, you cannot:
- Grant consent to the Azure ShareGate Migrate app.
- Migrate mailboxes with ShareGate Migrate.
- Migrate and report on Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365 groups with ShareGate Migrate.
Note: You can still use ShareGate Migrate to perform most SharePoint operations in your GCC, GCC High, or GCC DoD tenant.
