Use Copy content only to migrate files and folders from your teams and channels.
Files and folders from the Files tab are stored in a SharePoint site associated with your team.

Note: Only the files in the Files tab of a channel can be added as a Word tab.

Access document folders in Teams
- Locate the team you are interested in.
- Select any channel.
- Click the Three dots button
on the top-right corner.
- Click Open in SharePoint to view the files of that channel.
- Select Documents from the menu to view the files of each channel and any custom folders that have been created.
Migrate files and folders
- Click Copy.
- Select Copy content only.
- Enter the URL of the source team's SharePoint site as the source Site address.
Tip: Follow steps (1) to (4) above to locate the site URL. Copy and paste the URL from your browser into the ShareGate migration tool. - Add your Authentication information. Click Connect.
- Select Documents. Click Next.
- Enter the URL of the destination team's SharePoint site as the source Site address.

- Select Documents. Click Next.
- Select the content you would like to copy from the source. You can copy all content, including:
- Folders
- Documents
- Excel Files
- Images
- Markup Files
- Folders
- Drag and drop content into the destination, or, select content and click Start copy in the bottom-right corner. For more information on applying specific parameters, see Copy options.
- Once the action is completed, the migration report will show any successes, warnings, or errors. For more information, see Migration report.
